Sunday In the Park With George

Broadway Inspirational Voices founder and director Michael McElroy, along with BIV board chairperson Phylicia Rashad, will be featured in the New York City Center's production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's "Sunday in the Park with George." The show chronicles the life of painter Georges Seurat - who will be portrayed by Oscar-winning actor Jake Gyllenhaal - in the time leading up to the completion of his magnum opus, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte." Proceeds from this production, which will run Oct. 24, 25 and 26 at varying times, will go toward NYCC efforts to subsidize affordable ticketing to programs throughout the year. *Ticket information and more can be found on the NYCC website
