Broadway Inspirational Voices Founder and Musical Director Michael McElroy and BIV Member Allen Louis took the stage at The Atlantic’s People V. Cancer Summit, putting on an intimate performance of “You and Me.” The song was originally composed for the sibling of a pediatric cancer patient as part of BIV’s Songs in The Key of Me outreach program through Ronald McDonald House. The program pairs pediatric cancer patients and their families with composers and songwriters, who then tell their stories through song.
Before the performance, McElroy discussed a brief history of Songs in The Key of Me, and the stories that inspired “You and Me.” You can watch the performance and view photos from the event below.

Broadway Inspirational Voices celebrated 25 years of Disney on Broadway last night at the New Amsterdam Theater. Featuring a cast of 79 performers and a 15-piece orchestra, the silver anniversary event raised over $570,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Read more about the event (via broadwayworld.com)
