The 2019 Tony Awards are approaching fast, and Broadway World is shining a spotlight on Tony Honor Recipient Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices.
Michael McElroy, best known for The Who's Tommy, Rent, Big River, Violet, and many more, is being honored for Excellence in Theater for Broadway Inspirational Voices.
McElroy told Broadway World, "This is our 25th anniversary year and we have been here in the theatre community, supporting the theatre community, trying to be an inspiration through the music, outreach, reaching out into the community to make sure there's music for the next generation of artists. To be acknowledged by the American Theatre Wing in this way... I have literally not stopped crying since I found out. Just tears of joy!"

Michael McElroy, BIV to join Jennifer Nettles in Lincoln Center Concert
Michael McElroy and the Broadway Inspirational Voices are pleased to be joining Jennifer Nettles at A Night of Country Under The City Lights presented by the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund Media and Entertainment Council.
Jennifer Nettles, a Broadway alumna and Grammy award winning country artist, is being honored at Alice Tully Hall for her career and service towards the 4-H organization and the Human Rights Campaign. Jason Robert Brown will also be joining Nettles and the Broadway Inspirational Voices.
Broadway Inspirational Voices is currently celebrating its 25th year, and is proud to receive the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theater.
Tickets will include a post-performance celebration in Alice Tully Hall. Click here for tickets and further information about the event. Proceeds will go toward Lincoln Center’s constituent arts organizations, reports Playbill.com.
