WHEN JUSTIN PLAYS

VIDEO RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS

This song is a fairytale about our hero Justin and when he plays his violin he can cast a good spell on people. On this journey, we pick up multiple people in multiple locations and in the end form a band. Justin loves that music can bring people together and we should feel that no matter what language you speak or economic status, music is one language that we can all understand.

Things to remember:

- Please record horizontally

- If possible, please use a smooth background, either a blank wall or what you might use for self-tapes (it will help with editing)

- Start your video recording at the very beginning of the song even though your action might be much later (this will also help with editing)

- Set up your props/“costumes” so they are easily accessible in order to make a “quick change” into your band member costume

- Once you start your “action” (picking flowers, basking in the sun etc” you will sing all your background vocals for the rest of the song

- Please refer to your group and individual video instructions to confirm any info

Jen M

- Start video and track from the beginning (you’ll just have to wait until M47)

- At M47 you become the “flower girl” picking flowers (more like presenting, smelling etc:)

- Around M55 you start to “hear” the violin

- Around M58 you remove your flower girl costume and props and “quick change” into your band member costume and keyboard

- At M64 you become the band member and play and rock out until the end of the song

Shaunice

- Start video and track from the beginning (you’ll just have to wait until M82)

- At M82 you become the “sun bather” basking in the Hawaiian sun

- Around M90 you start to “hear” the violin

- Around M93 you remove your beach outfit and props and “quick change” into your band member costume and drums

- At M97 you become the band member and play and rock out until the end of the song

Jen T

- Start video and track from the beginning (you’ll have to wait until M95)

- At M95 you become “Malcom” and you wave to the camera

- At M96 you quickly remove your “Hello My Name is Malcom” sticker and “quick change” into your band member costume and guitar

- At M101 you become then and member and play and rock out until the end of the song

- The video title says JenM, but we promise it’s for you! Just a labeling error :)
